Program Associate, International & Intercultural Programs Our Clothesline Project lasted three days this year, with the first two days dedicated to displaying t-shirts from the first two years and a workshop to allow survivors to design their own t-shirts. Service members from each military branch joined together to sign the Pentagon's Sexual Assault Awareness Month Proclamation in the Pentagon courtyard, April 14, 2014.
The proclamation read "Whereas, the desire within the Department of Defense is for all personnel to live our values, therefore, I will step up and do my part to stop sexual assault."
The Department of Defense theme for 2014 Sexual Assault Awareness Month is "Live our values: Step Up to Stop Sexual Assault."
The event was held in conjunction with the Clothesline Project, an initiative that raises sexual assault awareness by facilitating the design of T-shirts that help educate others about sexual assault. The shirts will be on display throughout April.

Same town's 2012 installation of the CP in the next 3 photos, all by Fred Bonilla:
We are a small Tribe in Northern MI. We wanted to have a display that caught people’s attention in such a way to bring awareness during the month of October 2012 to domestic and family violence. After researching, we chose the Clothesline Project. Each display has information posted about the Clothesline Project and its history. This is a photo of one of the Clotheslines Project displays. We actually have completed three separate displays to hang in each of our government buildings. We are hopeful that our displays will promote healing and education within our small, Native community.
